Solarceptors by Rasa Smite and Raitis Smits at the 75th International Film Festival Mannheim-Heidelberg
In collaboration with the 75th International Film Festival Mannheim–Heidelberg (IFFMH), on Wednesday 2 September, at 7 pm, the exhibition “Solarceptors” by artists Rasa Šmite and Raits Šmits will open in the STUDIO exhibition hall of the prestigious Kunsthalle Mannheim art museum in Mannheim, Germany. The event will also feature a discussion with both artists.

The exhibition presents Rīga through the lens of a slit-scan camera. Travelling on tram 1 from Imanta to Jugla, the artist has documented the passing view, creating a series of surreal, hybrid images where time, movement, and perception intersect.

SensUs XR – Symbiotic Futures. Slow Travel as Field Work: Baltic–Nordic Meetings
From July 6 to 25, artists from the Baltic and Nordic countries will embark on green mobility routes in Baltic and Nordic countries, exploring ecosystems using immersive media technologies, culminating in meetings at the RIXC Fields Residency, Latvia and Onsala, Sweden.
