The lake of the forest is located in Mažeiki raj, in the Old Town, 6 km north of Viekņi. Length from northeast to southwest 1,1 km, maximum width 0.35 km. The altitude is 77.2 m. Gylis reaches 4.5 m. Coasts are ground, in the west and south. The lake is surrounded by the forest of Asva. In the south there is an unnamed river of 0.2 km long to Asva flowing on the south coast.
