Laknieki (previously Bukmuiža) is a village in Dogda municipality, the centre of Ezernieki municipality. The village is located on the coasts of Eša and Udrija lakes near Židovkas river Eša lake on the crossroads P49, P52 and p55 13 km from the district centre of Dagda and 291 km from Riga. The inhabited place was formed around the centre of the former Bukmuižas (Buk-Myza) manor. In 1933 Bukmuiža granted the status of a thickly populated village.
