Natural place

Talsu lake (including Martinelli lake) is a lake in the center of Talsu city. The lake was formed sub-glacially. Its area is 3.6 ha, the average depth is 11.6 m, the largest — 16.5 m. The coastal mostly floors. The lake has clear water, slightly grown up only on the southern coast. Leaf, hills, birch and wolves are growing. Fish found in the lake: rain, plague, line, carrot and bait. Next to the lake there is also Talsu pilskalns, on the other coast there is a monument for the participants in the Latvian freedom struggle — «Talsu kolledzer». Wikipedia
