Vilsandi National Park is located in the western part of Saare county. The nature reserve consists of the island of Vilsandi, with the surrounding laids and peaces (including the Vaika Islands) and the islands of Atla, Kihelkonna and Kuusnõmme Bay located there. The Vilsandi National Park has nearly one hundred islands, together with the surrounding quatorium and the coast of Saaremaa, it covers a total area of 238.9 km2 of which the water part is 165.2 km2.The oldest protected area of the Baltic States includes nature complexes with different landscapes, the most characteristic of which is in the sea.
